On 6th November 2023, CHITHRA Don Bosco organized a Women Empowerment program and celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava at Chikkaguntanur, Chitradurga. Mr. Sannaningappa, the Self-Help Group (SHG) animator, highlighted the importance of Kannada Rajyotsava as a significant cultural and historical event in Karnataka.
Mr. Ravi K. Ambekar, a yoga teacher, was the resource person for the program. He explained in detail how yoga is closely linked to mental health. He emphasized that yoga contributes not only to overall physical well-being but also significantly enhances mental health. He stressed the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life, especially for students, to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
As part of the session, students performed a series of simple yoga postures under his guidance. The activity helped them understand the practical aspects of yoga and its positive impact on the mind and body.
